Marketing by Quarter: Tips for Nightclubs and Bars in 2016- Part 1 Marketing by Quarter: Tips for Nightclubs and Bars in 2016- Part 1

Marketing is a critical component to boost sales and business for nightclubs. By taking advantage of the seasons and events throughout the year, your venue is likely to reap the benefits. While marketing your establishment, a comprehensive Nightclub Insurance Program is recommended to protect its operations.

First Quarter (January-March)

It is recommended that this marketing strategy be developed for the entire year in order to effectively benefit from each month. Nightclub and bar owners should take advantage of the main events that occur during the first three months of the year. New Year’s, Valentine’s Day, and the Nightclub & Bar Convention and Trade Show in Las Vegas all take place consecutively. Not only is attendance at the convention highly recommended, while there Nightclub and Bar states that owners should talk to peers about what’s working and what’s not, peruse aisles for great ideas and products, and attend workshops.

In addition, if your bar has a sports theme, up the ante for the Super Bowl. Patrons flood bars and nightclubs during these times and you can announce your specials and events on your social media page. Other strategies include more social media announcements, discounts, deals, and special events. Remember, know your customer and gear these efforts towards them.

Second Quarter (April-June)

Spring break is likely to bring a swarm full of patrons to your bars and nightclubs. Implement new strategies learned at the Las Vegas convention and prepare for summer break and wedding season. As May and June are prime months for these visitors, ensure your establishment is equipped with summer cocktails, outdoor festival events and other outdoor summer activities. For brides and grooms, consider offering drink specials to those who show their marriage license. Further, it might be a lucrative idea to host events for bachelor and bachelorette parties during the wedding season.

Stay tuned for our next post that will discuss how to effectively market your nightclub and bar for the last two quarters of the year.
